What is water literacy
Water is vital to life on earth, so why don’t we value it? It may be because it is all around us, it falls as rain, flows down our rivers and drips out of our taps (hopefully not by leaking). This abundance is deceptive, because water is scarce. Being water literate is about understanding why water is scarce, how badly this impacts the environment and crucially, how we can give water the value it deserves by changing our behaviours. Once you are water literate you will have the drops of knowledge needed to power a wave of change across your industry, organisation, communities and at home.
Our mission
Our course willl educate professionals about water literacy and why it is so vital.
Water-literate graduates will go out into their organisations, communities and homes to create a wave of change.
This wave of change will lead society to reassess the value of water, helping to protect our precious water resources and environment for future generations.
This course has been created by industry experts who have spent their careers working in the water and environmental sectors. We passionately believe in the importance of a broad shift in how the world thinks about water, and therefore how they use it. We’ll help you to understand why we believe this is so vital and how a wave of change in how we value water will save individuals money on bills, protect the environment and alleviate some of the threats of climate change. The first two modules are packed full of knowledge and research and the final module of the course provides you with a plethora of actionable ways that you can make a difference by saving water and spreading our vital message.
The first 2000 places on this course are fully-funded, and upon completion you will have the opportunity to become accredited as water literate. Over 100 individuals have already achieved full accreditation.

A huge amount of research, experience and passion has gone into creating a course that will give you the chance to become accredited as water literate. We are proud of the research underpinning our modules, and the multi-media tools and resources we have been able to amalgamate to create an enriching learning experience that is accessible to all.
